The Amajoya brand was founded in 2010 by Dr. Jonathan Lamprecht, a neurosurgeon who decided to follow his heart to become a master confectioner.

For us, flavour always comes first. It’s why our liquorice candy is made with real liquorice root – giving it that sweet, full-bodied flavour. And why we use real dairy to give our toffees that authentic, creamy taste. We also use real fruit juice in our fruity ranges for a delightful, fresh flavour burst.

Unlike our original candies, which are made with affordable cane sugar, our Sugar Free range uses alternative sweeteners. These may cost more but help ensure our sugar-free candies are just as tasty as the originals.

Why is there an empty, sealed candy wrapper in my bag?
Every bag of Amajoya candy is filled by weight before it is sealed. Occasionally, an empty but sealed wrapper may slip in during production. However, you will still receive the full weight of candy – as promised on the pack.
